Anthropologie's Got A Camel Dress!

$228, Anthropologie
Camels are totally the new birds! Anthropologie MUST know that! Wait... PUT A CAMEL ON IT! Welp, it doesn't have quite the same ring as "put a bird on it," but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

Wait, actually, that's a dromedary, which only has one hump. "Put a dromedary on it: sounds way worse than "put a camel on it," so all the more reason we should make "put a camel on it" work.

Also while doing my "extensive research" into camels, I discovered this site that begs the million-dollar question  "camels vs. horses?" Totally charged. That's like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict of the animal kingdom, isn't it? Anyway, I love both camels and horses, and they should all be able to peacefully coexist if you ask me.

These Are The Definition Of Crazy Pants

$98, Urban Outfitters
The only explanation for the print on these jeans is this: I think someone spiked a Petri dish of one-celled organisms with MDMA, photographed them under a high-powered microscope, and a pair of REAL-LIFE crazy pants were BORN! The worst part is I actually kind of love them.

Jeffrey Campbell's Lita Heels: NOW TOTALLY SPIKED

$188, Jeffrey Campbell, FredFlare.com
Jeffrey Campbell Lita heels, now TOTALLY SPIKED. For her pleasure. In the words of that great poet, Kanye West, "That's right put in work, move your ass, go berserk."

When you're done ordering the cat tapestry Lita heels, pre-order the spiked heels at FredFlare.com.

And SPEAKING OF Fred Flare, CONGRATULATIONS to Fred Flare founders/ owners Keith and Chris, who just got married earlier this month. I profiled them in 2008, Fred Flare store first opened, and they're truly two of the most genuine, generous, hardworking individuals I've ever met. Their store -- and their all-things-cute-all-the-time mantra are so joyfully cheerful and refreshing. So go indie, and shop Fred Flare! These guys deserve your support.

Jeffrey Campbell's Cat Tapestry Lita Heels: THERE ARE NO WORDS!

$150, Jeffrey Campbell, Plumforpollyapparel.com
There are no words, and yet... there are SO many things to think and say about Jeffrey Campbell's Lita CAT TAPESTRY heel. And the first one begins with "meow." The next? "WHO WILL BUY ME THESE"???? It's as if, unbeknownst to me, someone from Team Jeffrey Campbell took a scan of my brain, saw that my thoughts primarily consist of shoes, cats, and kitschy things, and the resulting cat shoe was born. VOILA!

As my friend @sarahfromthewww said, they're totally KITTEN HEELS. Get it?

Izzy Lane For Topshop Coats Look Way Warm, Way Wonderful

Topshop's going all ethical, which is nice! -- with their Izzy Lane wool collaboration. Founder Isobel Lane makes her wool from her own flocks of endangered primitive breed sheep in the Yorkshire Dales, which is totally what I would do if I were really nice and had a lot of time to do nice things.

How perfectly "smart," as the Brits say, is this faux-fur-trimmed boyfriend coat? I love when other people do nice things for me, so this is totally perfect.

$390, Izzy Lane For Topshop

$200, Topshop
Another Topshop winter coat. The faux-fur is detachable! You don't see enough rust-colored coats with detachable bits, you know?
$440, Unique, Topshop
So dramatic!

Rachel Roy's Fashion Week Presentation Totally Eclipsed By Kim Kardashian

I took some time out of my busy week of not really going to fashion week by going to fashion week and checking out Rachel Roy's Spring Summer 2012 presentation on the promenade of Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. The promenade is basically an outdoor balcony where you can smoke before going inside to try to pretend you know what opera actually means. But this morning it was the neutral-hued backdrop of the human stick figure diorama that was Rachel Roy's presentation. (Just kidding, the models were just "regular-skinny," and they were a far more diversely cast group than some of the other shows I've seen this fashion week.)

Soooo, Rachel Roy's presentation was lovely! Themed "romantic minimalism," the collection was an exercise in hushed louche walking pants, slouchy blazers and the occasional Mandarin collar. Very Charlie Girl meets "The Joy Luck Club" meets for Sunday brunch near Central Park. Oh, and Bobbi Brown pulled off some of the best beauty I've seen since this whole fashion week situation happened. The perfect "I'm-not-wearing-any-makeup" makeup. But that's because she's Bobbi Brown and knows what the eff she's doing.

PHOTOS: Alexis Bittar Resort 2012

My very favorite jewelry designer, Alexis Bittar, recently released his Resort 2012 collection, and the lookbook alone is art. I mean, THERE'S A WIDE-EYED CAT (an Abyssinian if I'm not mistaken, and believe me, I'm not usually mistaken when it comes to cats) LOOKIN' TO RUN UP ON SOME JAGGED LUCITE-AND-GOLD BRACELETS! This is solidly within my wheelhouse!

The whole thing is very surreal, very neon (I always gravitate toward his '80s references) meets gold meets LOL Cats meets Man Ray.

Missoni For Target Fashion's Night Out Pop-Up: I SURVIVED!

Fuck what you heard about Irene. Missoni For Target took New York City by storm at Fashion's Night Out, and I braved the HOARDES OF HOARDY SHOPPERS to cover the pop-up for MTV Style.

It was daunting, it was packed, it was 1 MILLION DEGREES in the shade, but I went in, and came out with two diaphanous black pleated maxi skirts, two pairs of black-and-white zigzagged pajama pants (TOO HOT! TOO CRAZY TO TRY ON ANYTHING, so I bought two sizes), one silk(-ish) robe and $212 broker.

Check out my experience bravely shopping the Missoni For Target pop-up shop for MTV Style, and don't miss the collection when it hits Target and Target.com Sept. 13. (Like you could miss it.)

DVF's Blue Bucket Tote = She Is Beautiful

$545, DVF.com
I've been trying to incorporate more color into my wardrobe -- specifically fuschia, burgandy, mustard, orange and aqua (duh not all at the same time). And I've been trying to get out of my kneejerk "just pair it with black" response, instead mixing khaki and camels and other neutrals with bright bolds. Who am I kidding? I'll probably just wear black and shit forever. Regardless, this beautiful Diane Von Furstenberg leather "Drew" tote in Matisse blue is the holy grail of fall blue hues. It's so beautiful, in fact, that only one song properly captures the true essence of its allure. And that song is "She Is Beautiful," and that man is Andrew W.K., obviously.

Bag This: Vegan Alexander Wang-esque Motorcycle Bag

$68, Shopnastygal.com
Let's just go ahead and call this black zippered motorcycle bag Alexander Wang... inspired, okay? At, like, one sixth of the price. Usually fake-leather bags skeeve me -- there are so many affordable leather bags that don't look have that cheap plastic patina -- but maybe this one's an exception. It IS vegan, right? So that means it's healthier.

$725, Alexander Wang, Barneys.com
Meanwhile, on the other side of the economic scale, this real Alexander Wang Brenda shoulder bag. Dreams.
