Things That Smell Good & Getcha Clean: Fashionbinge's Retro Lush Gift Box Giveaway

I just got Lush's Retro Gift Box, and guess what? It smells like a freaking candy store of a supreme dream. And ALSO guess what? One of you lucky folks is gonna take it off my hands, because I'm giving it away in Fashionbinge's FIRST-EVER GIVEAWAY! (With the exception of the time we gave away tons of rad swag at our anniversary party).

Anyway, it looks like this:
M'kay? And inside are six sweet treats, including:
+ Uluru Bath Bomb
+ Bon Bomb Bath Bomb
+ Pineapple Grunt Soap
+ Red Rooster Soap
+ Slammer Shower Gel
+ Freeze Shower Gel

A few photos to illustrate the excitement:

The whole thing is worth $49.95, but FREE to the ONE lucky Binger who, in the comments section of this post, provides us with the most amusing example of something that smells good to you and why. It should be interesting and novel. Like "my cat's tummy" or "inflatable beach toys" or "croque madame." Not like "yummy baked cookies" because that's the obvious, low-hanging fruit shit. Keep it short and sweet -- like me!

Please leave your comment (again, put them in this post) by Wednesday, July 16 at 11:59pm EST, okay? (Believe me, we have BIG fancy EXPENSIVE lawyers checking to make sure you're following those super highly specific legal restrictions and regulations.)

Libraries. The older and mustier, the better. All those dusty books, all mildew-y and gross, just waiting to be picked up and sniffed. Mmm!

Hubby's armpits! Of course, it because he wears lovely, smelling deodorant :) Btw, is this open to US only? :(

Dirt. My dad did the landscape design for O'Hare, Sears Tower, and most of the other big Chicago landmarks, so I grew up around plants and dirt. Dirt smells like comfort to me. And since I love dirt so much, I clearly need these bath products more than anyone else. Right, ladiez?

Additionally, you've won a Premio Award! I've tagged you. Thrilling, I know.

The smell of concrete streets right after it storms--dusty, humid, kind of a wet and dry sensation simultaneously.

Also Lush stores always smell great and I've been known to literally sniff them out from a block away.

The acrid stench of laboratory disinfectant. Dad's a scientist and he used to babysit me while he did dangerous and evil (ok not really) experiments in his lab. The smell always reminds me of days spent happily watching dyed amoeba swim around under an large microscope. To this day, the smell of fenol makes me think of dad.

Funeral homes. My grandpa was an undertaker in Chicago's Chinatown, so imagine my delight when I discovered Demeter's Funeral Home scent -- so musty and sweet, with a hint of embalming fluid. Just like how grandpa used to smell. I swear to god, this is a tru story.

Dried weeds on a hot day. I grew up in rural California, where it smells like this from March-December. When I smell it, it always makes me feel at home.

Palm trees. It smells like summertime in Maui, and makes me want to go back to visit the small island.

Gasoline.....back in the day when you HAD to go inside to pay, I sat in the car while mom went in and loved the smell of gas from the inside of the car...not straight out of the pump..so wierd i know! BTW loving the cat's tummy reference...my cat smells gorge!

Fresh corn. Peeling open those first ears of corn each summer takes me back to being so small and running in corn fields so much taller than me. It reminds me of chewing on corn sugar cane, playing tag, being outside, hot summers and bare feet.

My own farts... I kid!

I love the smell of babies diapers (before use of course) Just wanna bury my face in one at times, esp when I babysat the nephews

I just had a crazy hit of olfactory nostalgia this weekend, in fact, when blowing up my nephew's brand new inflatable kiddie pool! Something about that certain kind of new plastic smelled like summer and free livin', baby. It also reminded me of my coveted water wings. Ahhhhh...it was the best thing I've smelled in quite some time.

Especially now that it is the only part I can afford.

My ex-lover's girlfriend smells ridiculously good. She smells like the east-asian countryside. It's kind of awkward when I bump into her and am trying to surreptitiously inhaling her the whole time. I try to be as un-creepy as possible.

Paint. I can never get the job done cause I'm just sitting there inhaling as try to work. Maybe a little too much?

Fermented shrimp paste and Spam. Seriously. It smells like Sunday mornings to me.

I'm half-Filipina, so my mom would make me a special breakfast on the weekends that included shrimp paste and Spam. Every time I smell either of these, it takes me back and I get wicked hungry.

Those curly little wood shavings from my dad's workshop. The freshly-cut wood always smells so clean and earthy, plus, there's the associated nostalgia of watching my dad make toys and furniture on the Saturday mornings of my childhood.

Fresh paper. New books, new stationery, new notebooks. Especially if it's warm, like when it's just come out of the printer. Man, warm paper is delicious. Sometimes I wish I were a goat. Then I would eat the delicious warm paper and the librarians who fill the printer would have me committed.

the smell of a box of Crayola crayons. i like the wax-y smell of it and it always reminds me of elementry. and it has to be Crayola that smells goods of all crayons because Rosie Art just doesnt cut it for me.

The smoke from fireworks, also known as gunpowder. smoke from fireworks sounds more pacifist, though.

The nape of my daughter's neck after a pancake breakfast. She always gets syrup in her hair, so when I nuzzle her she smells like herself but extra sweet. A true accomplishment for her!

Knees. I love the smell of my own knees for some odd reason. And not after a shower, but when they are dirty and have a scab. I think because it's a peculiar smell that can't be found anywhere else.

BTW my cat's smell like kitty spit.

The smell of freshly inked skin. Nothing like a bloody tattoo :)

The smell of gasoline. I think in another life I must have been a huffer.

I don't have a snowball's chance in hell, so many crazy smells out there. But burnt toast and laundry detergent always reminds me of a British kitchen. There's something very safe and warm about those two combined, for me. . .

Right Guard. I prefer the old-school variety with the green solid that looks like kryptonite. I won't let my boyfriend wear any other brand.

Man neck and Jack Daniels.

Yum.

Dog or cat fur after they've come in from sitting in the sun, really old musty books, new shoes, new shower curtains. Oh yeah, anyone notice how dog paws always seem to smell like corn chips? For real. Try it.

I love the scent of burning leaves - it reminds me of fall in Michigan and more honestly, drinking beers around a bonfire.

I actually really love the smell of my cats' tummies. But only after they've snuck out of the house at night and spent the morning sleeping in the neighbours hay. Mmmmm....

shucks, i guess i missed the deadline for this thing. but listen, i really love the smell of Home Depot and just being in there the other day brought me back to the good ol' days of my youth and garden shopping with my dad. the combination of concrete, plants, fertilizer and paint smells so delicious it just makes me wanna cry.

I love the smell of gasoline. Maybe because of the way it cloyingly lingers like something addictive, yet dangerous -- until it evaporates, but most likely it's probably the fumes talking. ;)
