Partner Post: Macy's Boot Selection Is My Gift To You

By my watch, which I make a point of painstakingly syncing up with the Farmer's Almanac (okay, that's not true, but it'd be funny if it were!), we've only got a few more months to stay in boots. And while the holidays are technically over, the joys of shoe shopping are a 365-day affair, particularly at Macy's, where their selection of women's shoes is the gift that keeps on giving. ICYMI, the Herald Square flagship Macy's is undergoing a $400 million (that's like five Taylor Swifts!) renovation, and their shoe selection is more Homeric than ever. But in case you can't make the Odyssey to Herald Square, check out some of my favorite picks -- from studded-up Frye boots to buckled-up, menswear-inspired L.A.M.B. boots (good enough for Gwen, good enough for you, I say!), to lace-up Dolce Vita boots -- from Macy's boot selection.

$389.99, L.A.M.B. Macys.com
Leave it to Gwen Stefani to flip the script on the classic Chelsea boot style, adding a perforated vamp and not one, not two but five belt buckles.
$59, Dirty Laundry, Macys.com
I was totally meaning to buy a pair of old-school almond-toed (is that a thing? It is now, I guess) low-heeled boots, but then I got distracted, probably thinking about cats. But the neon laces in these Dirty Laundry boots, and the $59 price tag, are the only thing separating me from "thinking about buying" to "definitely buying."

$192.50, Boutique 9, Macys.com
Dream kitschy boots right here. Kinda like how you try and pretend you don't heart Flo Rida but you secretly do, just admit that you're into these bejeweled suede platform boots and enjoy them out in the open.

Frye Studded Out EVERYTHING For Fall

Frye clearly set their stud guns to infinity for their Fall/ Winter 2012 collection, because everything is truly, unapologetically studded up. Motorcycle boots, ankle boots, sneakers, saddle bags, clutches. If it's leather, Frye studded it out with vigor. As if that hadn't sold me hard enough, their F/W collection is unabashedly distressed and duressed (which is a cool word I made up).

Freshly scrubbed Tory Burch types, fear not: Frye's got delicate, perfectly tailored classic riding boots done right. But if, like me, you've been described as "delicate" approximately zero times in your life, you'll probably fall hard for the gravel-road-meets-Gotham, rode-hard, knicked-and-kicked appeal of Frye's new collection.

One of my Frye favorites -- a knee-high boot that stretches to fit those of us with calves the size of jumbo grapefruits. (For some reason, I have calves like I'm a member of the Italian national soccer team. The men's team, unfortunately.)

Done. The greatest motorcycle boots ever created. I can die now.

Get the Look: Mrs. Claus

Today I injected a little bit of Santacon into my outfit, enough that my boyfriend was amused enough to grab his camera and record it for posterity. I came into work and have gotten "very festive," "very Christmas-y," and my favorite: "very...Mrs. Claus." So, if YOU would like to take holiday dressing to a borderline-literal level, I recommend pointing your sleigh at the aforementioned Urban Outfitters, where I purchased the piece de resistance of this formidable outfit:

Silence + Noise embroidered buffalo plaid dress, was $68, now $39.99 online, BUT I only paid $19.99 in the store. I went in for holiday cards, I came out with a dress. Btw, no Mrs. Claus is that insanely buff.

Pair it with these Frye "Andrea" belted boots, marked down to $329.99, OR find your own vintage Dexter boots in a giant thrift store in Portland, Oregon, like I did. I mean, you're a CLAUS -- you can travel, and quickly.

Then get these socks from any Target (just not the online one). Arrange them so the fur cuff just peeks out above your boots. Bam! Instant (yet subtle?) Santa boots.

If you want to really push it, get one of those infernal berets that can be slouching atop the heads of every girl south of the north pole these days. This one is the most ridiculous of all, so that's what I'm showing. Urban Outfitters "popcorn" beret, $34.

And away you go!

Revolve Clothing's Black Thursday Mega Sale!

Unless you've been living under a couch cushion, you're fully aware that this week is RIPE with absurdly great deals. Check out all of this gorgeousness from Revolving Clothing -- almost all of my picks are under $100, plus they're doing free shipping, AND you can save 15% with promo code JT. I know because I JUST DID!

($279, Rafe, RevolveClothing.com)
Beauts patent leather faux croc black boots! Love the gold hardware at the top.

($175, Frye, RevolveClothing.com)
As much as I LOVE grey boots, I actually like these Frye Ava boots best in black. And for $175, you'd be INSANE not to pick them up.

($50, Trina Turk, RevolveClothing.com)
Both pairs of boots would look so cute with this Trina Turk bag.

($49, Generra, RevolveClothing.com)
... Or this office-pretty Generra top.

($63, Charlotte Ronson, RevolveClothing.com)
... Which would look really cute with these Charlotte Ronson flats with pyramid studs (yay!)

($48, Matt Bernson, RevolveClothing.com)
Or these Matt Bernson flats.

($153, CNC, RevolveClothing.com)
... Which you should not carry with this amazing CNC by Costume National studded clutch!

($43, Primp, RevolveClothing.com)
... But I would carry it with this fun leopard top!

($62, Betsey Johnson, RevolveClothing.com)
... Which I'd wear with these Betsey Johnson heels...

($34, YMC, RevolveClothing.com)
... Or these YMC hi-tops.

($58, Luc Kieffer, RevolveClothing.com)
All of which I'd wear with this fun Luc Kieffer ring.

($58, Married to the Mob, RevolveClothing.com)
Kay, so also, this Married to the Mob jacket is just $58!! For srs!

($51, Members Only, RevolveClothing.com)
... Or, get a real Members Only jacket for even less. SICK! (But no liquid leggings, pleas.)

($21, Something Else, RevolveClothing.com)
Meanwhile this Something Else by Natalie Wood (not THAT Natalie Wood) tee is just $21. I should know because I BOUGHT IT!

($13, Insight, RevolveClothing.com)
And OF COURSE I'd have bought this because you KNOW how much I FREAKING LOVE horses and ponies, but it's only in stock in a small. Bew! But if I did have it, I'd wear it with...

($76, Luc Keiffer, RevolveClothing.com)
Love that gorgeous salmon shade that really only '60s bathrooms came in. I'd also wear this with...

($185, Jill Stuart, RevolveClothing.com)
Pretty pretty!

For dressing up like Lady Prince!

($31, Noir, RevolveClothing.com)

Frye On Bluefly!

Two quick Frye picks from Bluefly:
($246, Frye, Bluefly.com)
The "Vicki Campus" boots in grey at $152 less than on the Frye site.

($156, Frye, Bluefly.com)
The "Lisa" bootie -- so cute and significantly less than the ones on Zappos.

($94, Frye, Shopbop.com)
Not on Bluefly, but DEFINITELY on sale. These are the "Fiona" Oxfords I blogged about the other week, but they're even cheaper than the ones on Frye and than the $129 dark brown ones on Urban Outfitters.

Wednesday 'Frye' Day Boot Binge!

Three pairs of Frye boots and shoes and shooties that I'm seriousla sweatin'!
($188, TheFryeCompany.com)
Saw these in the window of Soula and was inexplicably attracted to their sorta sexy/ugly nature. Sorta like the way some ladies find Steve Buscemi attractive.

($227, Frye, Zappos)
LOVE the perforated Paige boots with a buckle. And, THANK Methuselah, Zappos redesigned!!

($202, Frye, Zappos)
Love the antiquey design of the Zappos Ava Oxford. Maje wants!
