Shoes I Want to Get... And Shoes I Just Don't Get
As usual, a post with barely any cohesive thread, except for shoes that fall under the two dichotomous categories of stuff I like and don't like.
($136, F-Troupe, Creatures of Comfort)
($115, Slow And Steady Wins the Race, Creatures of Comfort)
($180, Angeli Inquieti, Zappos)
By award-winning Finnish designer Julia Lundsten. Stunning, especially in cream. I like the space-agey-meets-earthy vibe too.
I need a pair of gold heels for my Weddings S/S '08 dress, and I like the cracked leather, but I don't know if I'm feeling the heeling.
($48, Nina, Lulu's)
($195, Jeffrey Campbell, Urban Outfitters)

Ughhhhh. More creature than comfort.

Riiiight. We get it. You're a ballet flat. And not a plastic bag.

Less really is so much more.
($104, Pura Lopez, Amazon)

These studded heels, however, are almost perfect. If only they were a little taller.

Cute just 'cuz.

I've been dreaming of these laser-cut Jeffrey Campbell boots for weeks now, but something keeps holding me back... oh yeah... credit card debt. Wurst.
Oh yeah... hearkening all the way back to last Saturday's post, in which I highlighted my exciting recent purchase of Steve Madden Skiip laser-cut white Oxfords... I found these, which are similar, in case you wanted something a bit higher-end and more expensive:

However, they're practically giving away the Steve Madden ones. Just sayin'!

Help Me Find This Jumper!
Homegirl over at SovereignState posted an image of a super cute pink and grey checkered flannel jumper as part of her Fall Fashion Wishlist. I have now added it to MY wishlist:

The problem is, however, I have NO idea where it's sold. I do know it's $39. JP (of Chicago) said it looked maybe like Lulu's Fashion Lounge, though a search proved fruitless. Mary-Kate told me, unsolicitedly that she did not like it (boo! says the girl who LIKES the jester tights!) and said it's perhaps from Delia's. Also a good call, but after that search, I'm still emptyhanded!
HELP a flogger out!

Thursday Cuters!
Several inexpensive -- and cute! -- items for to which pertains to the providing of your Thursday happiness. Many thanks!
($19, Loungefly, Lulusfashionlounge.com)

I know, I know... rollerskate t-shirt = so young. But it's adorable. And Erin Fetherston's new Target line is all hearts (the line hits stores in November, by the way), so give me rollerskates, okay? Allow me that.
($48, Asos.com)
($15, ROOTOTE, Yesstyle.com)

Speaking of Erin Fetherston, this top sorta reminds me of her style (and not just because this chick has blonde hair). Quite adorable and not TOO Peter-Pan-y.
Speaking of Peter Pan, as I totally contradict myself, I fully love this little slingshot necklace, especially since it has that extra layer of hanging cuteness (yes, I did say "hanging cuteness") int he form of a chain and faux gem. It reminds me a bit of this mirror necklace that the extremely sweet Kidada Jones (uh, she's awesome!) gave me at a celebrity gift suite in Vegas after she saw me fawning over it like a kid and a candy store window. I wear it on the regs. Again, I can't stand regular Disney crap, but I love their couture jewelry line.

No one NEEDS a totebag with a whimsical vintage-style map of Europe on it, but its extraordinary cuteness level is causing my Eurotote cravings to kick in on a massive level. Also, check out their l'il biscuits bag! Eee!
(Apprx $121, Adidas, Urbanindustry.co.uk)

Y'all, dudes deserve cute shit too, doncha think? This pullover is so cute I'd definitely even consider wearing it myself!

Mad For Flannel (... Okay: And Plaid)
Sooooooo much cute plaid and flannel stuff, soooo little money... Let's start with...
ACCESSORIES
($485, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Refinery29.com)
So purdy, so 'spensif.
($24.50. Delias)
ACCESSORIES

So purdy, so 'spensif.

I know this is a knockoff of something (that I saw at Barney's Co-op), but for the life of me, I can't find it. Anyone know?
($28, CL By Laundry For KB, Lulusfashionlounge.com)
So effing cute!!
($226, Michael Kors, Zappos.com)
I know this is last season (OMG!), but I still like it.
($10.99, Old Navy)
Back in October of 2006, Stylebubble previewed the Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton market bags and pointed out the mixed messages and metaphors inherent in such a design. Then, in February of 2007, Knittantics also was like WTF? I, late the party in March of 2007, hated on the LV bag. By May of 2007, Inmybag had had ENOUGH! But, I hadn't seen the the Jaye Hersh version until just now. (Like I said: late to the party). It's probably totes hypocritical of me, and I don't think it's funny to indirectly make fun of Chinese people, but I like the Jaye Hersh version, okay? I'll just tell myself that it's a backlash against the obnoxious Louis Vuitton commentary on Asians carrying around laundry bags. Um, or something. Sue me.
($89, Sam Edelman, Piperlime.com)
($485, Marc By Marc Jacobs, Shopbop.com)
Want. Need. OMG.
($385, Loeffler Randall, Activeendeavors.com)

So effing cute!!

I know this is last season (OMG!), but I still like it.

I wouldn't personally carry this, but it's nice to know it exists for those of you who would.

More predictable than the aforeblogged, but still cute.
GUYS!
($70, Special Blend, Zappos)

I really like the green plaid, so I will try to ignore the fact that this has built-in thumbholes. Sorry guys, that's all you get today.
COATS
($531, Ted Baker, Asos.com)
COATS

I could devote an entire blog to plaid coats, but instead, you get just ONE awesome one. This is gorgeous.

Want. Need. OMG.

I usually feel like ruffles are a no-no for grown women, but Loeffler Randall can pretty much do no wrong in my book, so I'm making a special exception.
Cute. You know.
($98, Free People, Nordstrom)

Still deciding if this is cute or not, leaning more toward not.
($29, Newport-news.com)

Is it fucked up that I bought something from Newport News? Oh well. It's cute. And why are you so judgmental anyway?

JACKETS: PART 3: Just A Light Jacket
Today's jacket theme is just "light" -- pretty light colors like cream and "dove" and "sandcastle" and even white.
First, my absolute top fantasy pick of the bunch:
(Eley Kishimoto)
First, my absolute top fantasy pick of the bunch:

I have no idea how much this is or if it's even still available as it's from Eley Kishimoto's 04/05 collection. Boo. But a beauty indeed.
Okay, a wee bit out of my price range, especially since I absolutely belabored a $118 purchase of a jacket today at Macys. But if I were in the habit of dropping close to 2 grand on a jacket, this would be the first one I'd drop it on. And I love that its color is called "dove." Sigh.
A more realistic jacket from Nordstrom.
($212, Diesel, Ssense.com)

Any greener and this would be too green, but the light mint is sort of lovely. There's something very Pacific Northwest about this jacket -- and in a good way.
($58, Delias)

The capelet -- classic, yet definitely not for my shape. Yet this one is simple and timeless nevertheless.
($111, Diesel, Sstyle.com)

Can you ever go wrong with a fitted jacket? No. No, you can't. And Diesel's Bicik jacket is tres parfait, no?
($29.50, Old Navy)

Definitely cute. (This is the "sandcastle," btw). Reminds me of a similar jacket I had in college and makes me wonder what the hell happened to it ("it" being the jacket, not college, though sometimes I wonder what the hell happened to that too).
($39, Yag, Lulusfashionlounge.com)

Once again, Lulu's Fashion Lounge (and I swear I don't work for them) hits one out of the park with an awesome looks-ten-times-more-expensive-than-it-actually-is piece. This jacket is truly adorable, and again, looks like Mike & Chris, and I'd totes buy this if I weren't positive I'd stain it by the third wear.

New Shoes & Shoe News
Okay. So by now you've prolly already heard that Saks Fifth Avenue reopened its megalopolis of a shoe store -- so big they have a chocolate cafe (cheesy women-love-chocolate-and-shoes stereotype much!?) and even gave it its own ZIP code -- 10022-SHOE. Check out the Post's story here, and check out their photo gallery, which is really well done. I love the pair they lead with:
($595, Miu Miu, Saks)
I also love these:

($575, Miu Miu, Saks)
Gorgeous and elegant in nude, fun and funky in green and grey. Sliiiiiiiiightly outta my price range, so hopefully someone will hurry up and knock 'em off soon... Someone like, oh, I dunno... say... Steve Madden? So, funny enough I should mention both Steve-o and legality just the other day in reference to Steve Madden's "Chaps":

My reference to legal issues was that they looked like Chinese foot binding devices, but turns out, per the awesome Shoewawa they're also pretty much an EXACT rip of Christian Louboutin's Emily booties. Dude, Steve, that's just egregious. Might as well paint the instep red too. WTF? Also, Chaps or Emilys, they both blow.
($504, D&G, Amazon)
Love these sexy Tin Woman heels, but I love these just as much...
($82, Nine West, Zappos)
I love the vintage design of these too.
($104, Oh Deer!, Bellegrey.net)
Featured on Brown712.com -- I love the rich, luscious cream. Great price too, if you can stand to buy something from the leathery plastic bionic woman that is Lisa Rinna.
(Apprx $229 USD, Esska, Lollipoplondon.com)
Usually I find roses/ mauves to be fairly boring, but these are stunning and would look SO cute with some not-too-skinny but not baggy jeans and a nice sweater for my beloved fave season, fall.
(Apprx $69 USD, Dorothyperkins.com)
Lovely teal shade. And I don't give a fuck about what Kate Moss is wearing these days -- I still love my grey jeans, they look rad on me, and these would look perfect with said two-seasons-ago jeans. (Again, via Shoewawa.)
($145, Lacoste, Wesoldout.com)
These are dope.
($21, Classified, Lulusfashionlounge.com)
You can never have enough grey shoes.
... And finally...
($53, Very Volatile, Lulusfashionlounge.com)
In keeping with the loose theme of shoes in roses, mauves and what I like to refer to as Indian ice cream colors, these are beyond cute.

I also love these:
